The Timeline: The Faculty was received October 2025
Works commenced in November 2025
Works were completed on 2 April 2026
Three years ago, the existing modern suspended ceiling was punctured by falling debris and the Church could not be used for safety reasons. An initial Faculty was granted in November 2023 to install safety netting.
The Church was protected throughout the works.
The removal of the existing suspended ceiling enabled the roof to be reinstated to its original form.
New plasterboard infill was provided between each rafter.
The rafters were cleaned up, nails removed and treated with beeswax.
Ceiling after the restoration works with the halo chandeliers which provide heating and light.
Brett and Bradley worked in the Church every day for five months
