What's On at St Nicholas' Britwell Salome
St Nicholas church is closed for repair and restoration work. The anticipated completion date is March 2026. In the meantime services will be held in the Village Hall. For health and safety reasons the churchyard is also closed for general access. However if you want to visit a particular grave during working hours when contractors are on site, please contact the contractors who will ensure safe access for you.

What's happening at St Nicholas'?

At St Nicholas' Chruch, the Victorian plaster has been falling for decades. A false ceiling installed in the sixties however with debris falling and the church roof at risk of collapse, emergency netting had to be installed
Reconstruction work has now begun. This includes removing the suspended ceiling and dangerous debris, installing a new plasterboard ceiling between the rafters, expose and illuminate the beautiful original beams and replace the old wiring and heating.
