What's been happening at St Nicholas'?
At St Nicholas' Church, the Victorian plaster had been falling for decades. A false ceiling was installed in the sixties however with debris falling and the church roof at risk of collapse, emergency netting had to be installed
Reconstruction work has now been completed. This included removing the suspended ceiling and dangerous debris, installing a new plasterboard ceiling between the rafters, expose and illuminate the beautiful original beams and replace the old wiring and heating.
